President's
Report 2011/2012 (edited)
As
my tenure as President of our Club nears its end, may I say what an honour
and pleasure it has indeed been for me over the past twelve months.
Everything
has been made easy by the most capable committee we have had, by those who
have assisted so willingly at our meetings and on outings and by the
members themselves who have been most co-operative in every way.
I
believe that our move to becoming a mixed Probus Club was a wise decision
and the last twelve months have been a continuation of that success story
as meetings and activities have been well attended, harmonious and most
convivial at all times.
We
started a $2.50 Club where our members are able to have a day away and the
only cost is their $2.50 Seniors Travel Ticket and their lunch. During the
year we had very well patronised trips to Kiama, Newcastle and the Sydney
Rowing Club at Abbotsford.
I
congratulate Graham Clark on his nomination as our incoming President and
know that he will handle the role most capably in the coming year.
